Waban Fraser-Ford Child Development Center Expansion
Lassel Architects has been busy working on the expansion to Waban’s Fraser-Ford Child Development Center. The proposed 7,736 SF addition will include a new main entry, 4 additional classrooms, toilet rooms, office spaces, a Kitchen, and Multipurpose room.
Waban Projects, Inc. is a non-profit organization that develops and operates programs which promote the general welfare and education of children and adults with development or other disabilities.
This Fraser-Ford Child Development Center (FFCDC) is a special purpose therapeutic preschool program for children with Autism, Pervasive Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome or other developmental disabilities. The proposed addition will provide space for a new program for children ages 5-7. The facility is professionally staffed with classroom ratios of 1:1 and 1:2. Within the building is a classroom that accommodates a year round day care program for typically developing children for ages 2-5. The daycare classroom is staffed 1:6.
Construction is set to begin Feb/March 2017.
