Lassel Architects was hired for a programming and reuse plan of the former 100,000 SF Dover Middle School. The goal was to revive the existing school building into a new multi-use community center, now to be called the McConnell Center. This project included: New entries, interior renovations and space organization, site design, renovation of existing gym, renovation of existing classrooms into offices, weight room, aerobics room, boxing and arts and crafts spaces, community meeting rooms, human resources, teen drop in center and youth services, potential Connector bridge between McConnell Center and Public Library.
